This routine is flexible and responsive to the children’s ideas, interests and needs. All times provided are subject to change to meet children’s individual routine requirements within the Senior Kindy environment. This routine may differ slightly due to changes in weather and ratios.
Ages: 36 months – 48 months
Senior Kindy Flexible Daily Routine.
The Senior Kindy Program, designed for children aged 36 to 48 months, recognizes their readiness for more structured activities.
Our daily routine offers a blend of indoor and outdoor play, group time, meals, and rest periods. While we encourage independence, we also understand their evolving needs and provide toileting assistance to ensure their comfort and well-being.
Centre Open
The day starts as the centre opens its doors, gathering children in the Senior Room or Yard for initial activities and social interaction.
7:00 am
Offered Breakfast and Outdoor Experiences (Pending on Weather)
Children are provided with a wholesome breakfast and have the opportunity for outdoor activities, weather permitting.
8:00 am
Toileting
Scheduled time for toileting to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
9:00 am
Programmed Indoor/Outdoor Play
Structured playtime that includes a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, promoting development and engagement.
9:30 am
Morning Tea
A morning snack break to replenish energy levels.
10:00 am
Nappy Change | Toileting
Routine diaper changes and toileting to maintain hygiene and well-being.

Group Time
A designated time for group activities and interactive learning.

A midday meal providing essential nourishment.

Another session of group activities and indoor play to stimulate learning and socialization.

Combine Indoors and Late Afternoon Snack
